Allison Caviness is a multi-media artist and storyteller, currently serving as Creative Director for Centric, a Viacom network. Allison has contributed to media brands such as VH1, BET, Marie Claire,, PBS Kids and Nickelodeon. Outside of television, Allison has directed and produced documentary films and media advocacy projects in partnership with non-profit organizations on subjects like domestic violence, prisoner’s rights, adoption and the ills of the global diamond industry. These projects have screened at conferences and universities namely, Rush Arts Gallery and Columbia University. Allison served as the founding director of Lesedi Film Center for New York City teens. She is a gold winner of the Promax Broadcast Design Awards, winner of two Paul Robeson Awards and a two-time fellow of the National Black Programming Consortium’s New Media Institute. She holds a BA in film from Howard University.
