I’m Allison and I am a creative director and director born and raised in Queens, New York.
I am currently working as a creative director with BET Networks, formerly with VH1, NBCUniversal, Marie Claire, AOL, iOne Digital, and Nickelodeon. I’ve also collaborated with a number of non-profit organizations, namely Color of Change, PBS Kids, Coalition for Women Prisoners, Citizen Action New York, The Artists Collective for Social Change, Metro Teen AIDS, and Great Nations Eat. In a former life, I served as the founding director of Lesedi Film Center for New York City teens.
Some great moments in my career have been winning the gold at Promax for the Centric rebrand, winning two Paul Robeson Awards and seeing my work on a jumbotron in Times Square for the first time (still chasing that high). I have a BA in Film from Howard University, am a two-time fellow of the National Black Programming Consortium’s New Media Institute, a graduate of the Promax Thrive program, and a believer of the Oxford comma.
I’m a nature lover and world traveler and I make homemade body butter. Check out my resume here.
